Wood Boats & Wood Browns
Dennis Nagel has a passion for building drift boats. I think this one represents the third one since I've known him. Dennis builds them from the ground - up. The inside of a small 14 footer takes shape.
And speaking of Wood... the Wood River is a spring creek located in the Klamath Basin and flows through the small town of Fort Klamath, Oregon. This brown trout was too big for the net.
Smaller than the average drift boat, this one is designed for smaller water. Initially fitted for 2, the small size and light weigh will allow Dennis to launch just about anywhere, and move around obstacles that larger boats can't.
A wild brown trout caught and released in the Wood River. The summer can be a good time to fish the Wood especially when the grasshoppers start stumbling into the water.
